its just anotha mundane

Attack of the...Cauliflower?

My oh my, aren't just adorable? WHAT IF you could shear down the cauliflower for their non-wooly goodness and make a faux yarn out of em? What do you see in this picture? I have come up with the following:

-The tomato is their leader.
-The tomato is their dinner.
-Maybe they're lost and asking directions to the closest salad bar or balsamic vinaigrette swimming pool.

SO! Speaking of lamb, did yall hear about the No Doubt reunion and tour in the making? Its got some of my girls here all excited. Honestly, I dunno what to think of it. It could be good, I mean they used to be alright back in the day. Whatev.

I got a coupon from HalfPricedBooks today. I got all kinds of excited and went to the one thats like 5 miles from mi casa. To no avail, there was no Salinger. Well, not the one I wanted anyway so I swooped up another of Ayn Rands works, The Fountainhead to be exact. Looks like a long read. Hopefully its a tad more entertaining. There were a couple hundred I wanted to pick up but once again the money was lacking. Incredibly. :( OH! How I would love to adopt them all! I like to think of books as orphans. Orphans need homes. I have an apartment!?! Although my sun room (ud think its a terrible place to store books, but theres no direct sunlight) is crammed as it is already, I'd like to think that theres a reason that builders make ceiling that high. To accommodate books, silly!

OK! So typical me tried getting away from my responsibilities by filling in the time with doo hickies found on the net. Platitudes of joy when DH and I found this here do dad. Its some 'ultimate Flash Face' thingy. However, instead of making an avatar of moi or DH, I decided to make one that had both of our features. His archy brows (groomed of course to suit a female), the family nose from one of his aunts, my eyes? lol, and my big lips that I always resented growing up. Odd, I know. I'm not so sure this is what our child would look like, but its pretty darn tootin if it is. Her hair reminds me of mines in the 7th grade...just...tamer.

"Hey! Who forgot to turn off Wall-E?" I love how in the movie all the robots who are a lil messy, have a mind of their own, or those who don't follow directives of some kind are referred to as Rogue Robots. ha. Or how the ship is modeled after a Walmart with rockets and a swimming pool no one knows about. I also love how all the occupants of the ship are obese and have barely any bone mass to em. It just goes to show you what our predecessors are up against....especially now that we have to make commercials informing children on the value of playing for one hour outside everyday. wow. Who ever thought we would have to force kids outta the house to play??? Anywhy I bid y'all adieu...my Cali peeps be blowing up my new celly! Smoooches.

oh Martha, how I love thee....

"i neva done it with a machine..."
"ya well its easy so how do you do it?"
"ya we in the hood we like wop wop wop!"

"oh you want me to take the skizzinn off of it, my bad!"
"well shake it down!" or "yabba dabba doo"
"i wanna taste yours"
"i need some chicken wings."

oh snoop, how I love thee.

its 3 am and i must be lonely....

What happened to Matchbox20?
Anywho...yea, as most of you know I've been suffering from a case of light insomnia. I've tried Ambien for a while, 3 weeks really, and it worked marvelously. I'd like to try solve this on my own tho. Pill popping can't be the way, can it? So since
I've been sleeping at 8 or 9am these days, I have been clocking in about 4-6 hours daily. So I totally think I'm doing WAY better :)

5ish minutes after me waking up I get a call from Leticia asking for a ride home and whatever ish kinda things. So I stroll on over and we are off for a day of adventure. Firstly, she shows me the Volants she scored last nite after I briefly described em via Skype. She'd never heard or seen em b4 so I got all kinds of excited talking about em, and then to just see them appear b4 me, omg, it was like a dream come tru. tee hee. Another fun addition was the cashier in plain paper that she decorated for me with all my fave things :) One of the best parts was the gun that shot out rainbows. There were snowflakes, a tree, a cow, acorns, stars, books, flowers, a sewing machine, and even a 'whispering eye' ha ha ha ha It felt like christmas.

So we partook in some debauchery @NPC (NorthPark Center) mostly on her part seeing how she had the money to do the damage with. Went to Papersource where I basically drooled on everything. Off to Aldo for Ticia to get some mo flats. Off to Anthropologie where we both couldn't get anything...but inspiration is always free! Starbucks was next on the list and I gots me an injection of my Green Tea Latte on Ice! Ticia on the other hand, saw a cute boy and suddenly was infatuated with him, or maybe the idea of him? LOL. However, there were the local teeny boppers running amuk and doing nothing but causing drama and wasting perfectly good air. eh oh well. There were some uber cute red n white heart slip ons at Urban Outfitters. I also totally fell in love with this one pendant/locket that had a bee on the front. I LOVE ME SUM BUMBLEEY BEEEZ!!! Ticia scored herself a pair of the same slip ons but in brown. Paid my Albe's Macy's bill that never seems to go away.

OMG HOW CAN I BLOG WHEN MY NEIGHBORS ARE BOUNCING A BASKETBALL UPSTAIRS?! one sec.....

There! THAT'S fixed. Nothing a few bangs to the adjacent wall can't fix.

OK. Well, after NPC, we went off back home, but Ticia wanted to make a couple pit stops...Target, Steak & Shake, and Walmart.

OMG. Frisco Melt, FTW.

We tried making it outta Walmart on the cheap, and I think that she did pretty well. For being the designated driver I got a cro hook and some black eco yarn. sweeet. Gotta make sure the cat doesnt find it this time, lol. Sometimes I leave my WIP's just out and about, and Loki the Mischevious comes by and plays with my cro hooks. lol. Doesn't his name suit him? However sometimes the hooks roll away elsewhere, and I dunno, I suppose hooks go to the same place missing socks from teh dryer go. We get to her place and i start up her scarf for one of her friends...lol, 'START.'

I'm home now and decided to baptize my new moly with an illustrated version of Ticia. It kinda looks like her. The colouring is all off, but that's mostly my fault for not having all the prismacolors out at the same time. I dunno where my darker ones are, LAME.

Anywho, has annyone noticed the lil graphic on the bottom left corner? Is that supposed to make me feel good? Advanced? I ono...   maybe??? i'll take it! :)

Melancholy Goodness 2b Had

rain turns sand into mud
just as you turn me into somebody loved....

   Je t'aime Albe.
Nerds rock. U=Nerd. so thru the transitive property, YOU ROCK. ha.

OK having had typed that. I feel a little funny actually repeating it in my head. oh well, i told myself today i will stop censoring my responses and whatnots. lol. So. ok. i was feeling a lil under the weather, i suppose. i thought i'd never get over this mini cold i got from Albe last week so i've been loading up in echinacea and it totally worked. BUT! i totally told Albe that i was just sick and melancholy from being sick. naturally, he felt bad soooo he took me to Joann's super duper store of creative fun and let me go (almost) hog wild. that TOTALLY cheered me up :) scored some buttons, stickers, fabric (that honestly, i'll prolly neva use), and OF COURSE, some uber lofty skeins of yummy yarns. (can inedible objects BE yummy?)

and since my fave WF is right next door, i HAD to go in and score some garlic butter and some shrimpies and other goodies. sometimes i think i could live at a whole foods. i mean they have EVERYTHING there! i could even sleep and get massages upstairs! i hope that if i we do end up relocating AGAIN that we'd at least have a whole foods....and maybe even the 2 story variety :) and well, if we don't i at least would like to be back in cali. i miss it to pieces!

oh so yeah...i went to go pick up my painted ceramic from arts afire this afternoon. turned out pretty awesome, but i was a little disappointed when i saw that there were 3 freaking air bubbles in the finish on the black heart side. LAME-O!

in a totally unsmooth segue; martha (my macbook) only has 8gb free. i think its time i get a portable drive? yeah, one of em super sexy skinny ones! oh i hope that there is a badass sale at frys on black friday, or do i even want to be there on friday? hummmm....i wonder only cause i went to the one in san jose back in 2004 & 2005. 2004's was HORRIBLE! i was in line nearly 3 hours!? OMG! ha ha, although i must say i was pretty sneaky about it. while albe was in line i totally ninja looted an office chair from the pc department and rolled it over to where albe was standing. and yuppp, u got it, i SAT and rolled around in that thing. ha ha ha ha ....oh memories...

onto another unsmooth transition!!! who remember's Ditty? from like 1992? by paperboy. omg, i just randomly thought about the song and it brought back all these memories of my trying to outsmart my mom. silly silly debbstar. like thats possible?! so yeah, back in the day, being the good asian daughter that i wasn't, lol, i was required to play piano at least 2 hours a day whilst my madre parked her toosh onto the couch close by. i HATED playing piano infront of ppl, and i think that if i still played i would STILL hate it, but i digress. so one day i decided to bust out my tape recorder, yes we had tape recorders!, and record myself playing piano....yadda yadda....
soooo, one day madre was like stompin her foot around and demanding that i play, so i do....and maybe a minute into her falling asleep on the couch...i reach for the tape recorder and press play. ha!!! i was totally free and could do anything i wanted!  i went outside. i played in the mud and made hotels for the rolly pollys in my backyard. bugs need homes, too! unfortunately i was a 4 hour tape, and as previously stated, i only practiced for two hours....and when that two hours was up...DITTY came on blaring hella loud and woke my mom up. omg! NO! hell hath no fury like a mother ALMOST duped by her 11 year old daughter. as soon as i heard her hollering my 'real name' that she reserved for those 'special occasions' i knew the jig was up. i bolted. ran ran ran. but upon my arrival back home, i got the filipino beating of a lifetime. lol. funny how songs trigger memories. and this one was funny, lol.

ANOTHER note. im uber sorry for being unfocused tonite?! lol, and giggly?! yarn can do that to a person. hi my name is debbie and yes, i am an addict.

"Don't wait for leaders. Do it alone, person to person." -Mother Teresa

get yer ASSparagus outta my kitchen!?!

Oh my dears, it seems the partner in crime, Albe, completely disregarded our long established list of culinary rules:

If I cook, he cleans...and vice versa
whoever consumes the last bit of rice in the cooker must wash out the pan
wipe a dirty counter
no dirrrty doggies in the kitch, period.

However, I am an incredibly lenient person when it comes to Albe and his culinary needs, but I do draw a line somewhere....and that somewhere is here.

If we run out of something, put it on the freaking list. Simple, yes? I have it this way mostly cause I never know when I will be on my way out to my loverly grocery store where the attendants swoon over my needs...or lack thereof. ha ha. A place where the flowers always look fresh and samples are at the ready for the hungry lunchtime foragers. Thats right, I'm talking about Whole Foods. What? You thought I was gonna say Sam's Club? lol. Well, I also go to Sprouts occasionally, but as of late it just seems so...so....uh, dismal? I certainly don't get the same satisfying shopping high that I get from Whole Foods. I wonder if they pump some sort of endorphine into the air conditioning like some casinos in Nevada do??? humm...Whatever gets the folks to buy! buy! buy!!! OH! WAIT! thats another thing I love about WF...all the prepacked goodness! I have yet to venture into the spa that's located upstairs, and I most definitely will have to go with one of the gal pals one of these days.

Anywho, I digress. Again, typically I am a forgiving person. However, fighting off old ladies for the last sweet potato at Walmart at 3 in the morn isn't my idea of bliss. Actually, it might give me nightmares. Ever steal sweet potato's from an old ladies cart while she wasn't lookin??? I have. ha. I also managed to score some Gala apples, yellow onions, some baby powder (for my sweaty hands when i crochet), a super rad notebook that I'll prolly annihilate in about 4 days, a couple manilla envelopes for a few mailings I gotta do, glue, and some Dingos for my Ein-nii. BTW, Ein totally learned how to "shake" hands now. I'm SO proud of my corgi!

On another note, I did discover another flavor of peanut butter. I've always explicitly enjoyed the yumminess of the White Choc PB, the other choc (i think its dark?) wasn't all the great. BUT! looky looky here! a new contender?! I'll totally try it in a couple hours and letcha know!

smooooooches my dears!

p.s. Im feeling a little guilty makin everyone switch to blooooggggger so I'm terrribly sorry. BUT! Hopefully this will be the new beginning. A beginning to something, uh, greater?
